Happy 14 months!

I love that face
Cooking up some birthday meals

This weekend was our anniversary celebration and the little dude turned 14 months. He woke up at his usual 5ish but lay in bed with us for an hour or so. Then, we played. Holy cow, did we play. We played so hard he lost his pants. He's such a ham. He thought my phone's flash was hilarious. Every time I tried taking a photo of him with the flash on, he'd giggle out loud. There are a bunch of toothy shots in the Facebook album.

For the anniversary, we had our wonderful babysitter Kelly watch Oli. He saw her walk in the door and literally gasped and smiled and jumped up and down on the couch. He didn't even realize we'd left, according to her text a half hour later. We really got lucky in finding her. We went and watched Sherlock Holmes, and it was pretty good. Afterwards, we just walked around the mall a bit before heading home. Oli was napping, so Jeff caught some snoozes too.

Can you tell what he ate?
After everyone's naps were done, we headed to the mall for an early dinner. Well, we got to our first choice, Buffalo Wild Wings, and were told the wait was anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes. Forget that. We headed next door to DuClaw's and were seated within 20 minutes. Oli tried some new stuff. He had mac and cheese. He also tasted some crayons. He found the blue one delicious, as evidenced by a diaper yesterday morning. He also had apple juice, super diluted, for the first time, and was instantly hyper. We won't be repeating that anytime soon.
"I'm sexy and I know it"

He is so good when we go out though. Evey now and then, he'd try to buck in his seat and I think if I was tied down into a chair for an hour or more, I'd be upset too. But, he mostly sat there, looking at the lights, checking out the people at the adjacent tables, flirting with the waitresses. The usual, you know?

14 months! I can't believe it. Sometimes, I feel like we try to treat him so much older because of all he's started doing. He has 8 teeth and a molar coming out. He likes to take pens, crayons, etc and write with them. He likes taking the dog out with me. He loves running to you and giving you a hug if you ask him nicely. He's curious about everything. He wants to touch every new thing he sees. Including garbage, unfortunately. He walked around the house yesterday with Jeff's Blackberry up to his ear babbling non-stop. Oh, the things they learn from us. Last but not the least, he melts your heart with that sweet smiling cute adorable face of his!

I love you bug and you are growing way too fast for mommy and daddy.
